National Institute of Engineering

The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) Campus in Mysuru is envisioned as an institutional environment that reflects the landscape character and spatial clarity of contemporary corporate campuses. The masterplan adopts a holistic approach, integrating a diverse range of outdoor spaces designed to support academic life, recreation, and meaningful community interaction.
A hierarchy of open spaces structures the campus—from large event lawns and multipurpose gathering areas to public squares and shaded plazas that encourage informal interaction. Sports courts, landscaped gardens, internal courtyards, and outdoor dining zones are carefully distributed to activate different parts of the campus throughout the day.

The landscape strategy balances institutional function with social and recreational needs,  fostering a cohesive, inclusive, and vibrant campus environment that remains deeply connected to nature.
