One Trade Tower
A detailed site assessment surfaced two patterns shaping the tower's grounds. Over half of users were actively searching for shade — a comfort deficit that kept the space from holding people. More than 75% of activity was movement-related: people passing through, not pausing. Circulation dominated the experience; gathering areas were underdefined and underused, and a heavy vehicular presence further fragmented pedestrian comfort and visual continuity.
The redesign returns the site to its people. Layered tree canopies, shaded plazas, pergolas, and seating nodes create the microclimates the original lacked — encouraging the city to slow down. Detailed planting and refined material choices give the site a rhythm of activity and pause. The result is a landscape that meets international standards of design while feeling distinctly of its place: a working commercial site that is also a place worth lingering in.
